Dr. Peter Buffham, a seasoned local family physician born and raised in Subiaco. Graduating from UWA in 1991, he has dedicated over two decades to serving his community.

In 1998, Dr. Buffham achieved a remarkable feat by earning a Gold Medal in his GP Exams. Additionally, he was honoured with a prize for his Diploma in Child Health in 1997.

Having attended local primary and high schools himself, Dr. Buffham continues to reside in the area alongside his incredible wife and three wonderful children. Beyond his medical profession, Dr. Buffham finds immense joy in his family, sports, culinary experiences, snowboarding, hill climbing, live music, travel, and exploring the great outdoors.

Dr. Buffham possesses a deep interest in various medical disciplines across all age groups. He places particular emphasis on preventive health, especially among middle-aged males, as well as mental health, travel medicine, and paediatrics. Furthermore, he is accredited as a youth-friendly Doctor, having completed his training modules in 2017/2018 as part of the inaugural cohort of doctors specializing in this field.

In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Buffham is qualified to conduct Recreational Scuba Diving medicals and actively participates in teaching medical students as a clinical lecturer at UWA.
